REGULATIONS AND CONGRESSES



1. OF THE VENUE

1.1 The venue country shall be chosen during the General Assembly of Delegates and the Board of Directors of the American Urology Confederation, which shall take place every two years during the corresponding Congress of the CAU.

1.2 Likewise, the venue of the next two Congress shall be also approved.

1.3 The place of the first must be ratified or rectified immediately.

1.4 A substitute venue will be chosen in case of impossibility occurred in the society previously in charge.



2. OF THE ORGANIZING COMMITTEE

2.1 Each country must send the list of the Organizing Committee of the Congress to the Board of Directors of the acting American Confederation of Urology for its validation.

2.2 The Organizing Committee of the Congress must be formed by: a President, a Vice-president, a Secretary, and a Treasurer, as well as an academic committee, a finance committee, a press and advertising committee and other committees designated by this Committee.

2.3 The Organizing Committee of the Congress will be qualified to invite the people it considers convenient, but not to establish international commitments with Societies, which may affect the personality or the economic interests of the American Confederation of Urology.

2.4 The President of the Organizing Committee will present an outline of the Congress with its critical course of action to the Board of Directors of the American Confederation of Urology for its validation.



3. OF THE ORGANIZATION

3.1 The program of the Congress must be completely composed 6 months before the Congress starts.



4. ABOUT THE PUBLICATIONS

4.1 The summaries of the accepted papers shall be published in a special edition of the Congress.



5. INSCRIPTIONS

5.1 Any type of written publication of the Congress must bear the inscriptions allusive to the organizing bodies in the following manner:

a. American Confederation of Urology

b. Ibero-American Society of Pediatric Urology

c. Society of Urology of the venue country

5.2 The use of the logos of the two first organizations mentioned is authorized. The Society of Urology of the venue country is free to authorize or not the use of their corresponding logo.



6. NOTICES

6.1 A minimum of 4 notices of the Congress with the registration form of the papers to be presented shall be sent, along with the deadline for their reception.



7. OF THE SUBSTITUTE VENUE

7.1 The country elected as the substitute venue during the Assembly of Delegates shall assume the organization of the Congress when:

- The venue country cannot conduct the Congress due to:

- political instability

- economic instability

- social instability

- The Board of Directors of the CAU does not validate the critical route of the Congress

- The actions of the Organizing Committee impact the philosophy of the CAU.

7.2 Once the substitute venue country takes on the organization of the Congress, it must adhere to the Regulations of Congresses.



8. PROFIT DISTRIBUTION

8.1 Once all incomes and expenses are broken down, the remaining amount shall be divided in the following manner: a. 50% for the American Confederation of Urology; b. 40% for the Society of Urology of the venue country; c. 10% for the Ibero-American Society of Pediatric Urology.



9. CONTESTS

9.1 All Contests, except the "Professor Dr. Antonio Puigvert" Contest of Urologist Investigation, shall be coordinated by the Organizing Committee.

9.2 The participant of a contest shall not be able to integrate the qualifying jury of the contest. In case the participant was wrongly designated as a jury, his/her paper will not be able to compete.



10. PEDIATRIC UROLOGY (S.I.U.P).

10.1. The first day of the Congress shall be dedicated exclusively to the presentation of papers about Pediatrics, and it shall be coordinated by the Board of Directors of the SIUP.

10.2. The Organizing Committee will pay for the trip and stay of a guest selected by the Steering Committee of the SIUP.

10.3. The S.I.U.P. shall receive 10% of the profits of the Congress, once all incomes and expenses are broken down.
